progs like that exist, for sure.

but they're quite expensive, to my knowledge, and since there's always going to be variables that are going to be left out, nothing replaces good ol' experimentation.

it's true that knowing your room modes and how you could optimally deal with standing waves would give you a good head start for speaker placement, but in most cases you're restricted by practicality before acoustics neways...

interesting though, if anyone can find a good lil' prog to do that, I'd be very interested for I'm moving the home theater in a new room and I can basically put it wherever I want!

Good or not?? I don't know. I just did a quick search and that's where i ended up.

I quickly tried Visual Ears demo (didn't get to far), to bad you can't input room dimensions in the demo.

(MAYBEE THERE'S A CRACK) not just VE but there must be some soft. out there along with an EEEVIIILLL twin crack brother. biggrin.gif

I didn't search it any further, NOT T'ILL I GET CAAABBBLE.
