tik1960
I have La Scala as my front speakers. Suddenly the sound form the tweeter of one of the speakers is down to half. There is a complex circuit at the back of the speakers which I fail to understand. Is it that the tweeter has blown or could it be that the circuit is malfunctioning? Can it be repaired or do I have to replace the tweeter? Kindly advise. Thanks
consistent
Bob Crites will have the answer. In the meatime swap it out from the other side and if the problem follows the tweeter then you know it's the tweeter. If it doesn't it could be the crossover or your amp/pre-amp so try swapping channels first. cheers
JohnA
Which tweeter do you have, K-77 or K-77-M? Which crossover do you have? Some quick checks, test the resistance of the tweeter, it should be 6 ohms or higher. Checkthe screws on the crossover. Loosen and tighten the screws tomake sure they are tight and there isn't any corroion addingresistance.
