In-Wall Surround System Good idea or not?

I was looking at getting the RF-82 Home Theater System but my wife does not like the size of the speakers.

The in wall surround speakers do they sound anything like the RF-82 Home Theater System. I know that is

probably a silly question but I have to ask. Is there a good in wall system that will do the job. I guess money

wise the in wall system would probably be a little cheaper right or wrong? If someone here has the in wall surround

sound system and could give me a little heads up on weather or not they would go in wall or the big speakers please

let me know. I use to have a bose surround system I know bose sucks but my wife liked the size of the speakers

and I told her that i would check on how the in wall speakers sounded but i do not want to regret getting the in wall

later down the road.

Thanks

I don't have inwalls... so perhaps my opinion isn't the
one you wanted.... but the freestanding speakers will out perform the
inwalls. They also have the advantage
of offering a flexible placement to compensate for some room acoustic issues...
which inwalls don't (especially if placed by your decorator).

OTOH.... I much prefer inwalls over ceiling units as the dispersion
does allow some stereo / surround imaging.
They will cost you less than the regular units... so, perhaps, invest
those savings into a better subwoofer.
