oldbuckster
Why would one want to sell them? Am I missing something here? $625. for a pair of Heresy III's, you are pullin' our legs, Yes?
DoubleJ
OK I can see that these are a hot item. Let me get back home and hook them up first. I want to first make sure they work 100%, and that you guys see pictures of them, AND that I actually want to sell them. DoubleJ, I will pm you when I make a decision. That's all I can ask for, Alliclaytor. Take your time and give them a good listen. I've had the pleasure to listen to the HIII's at the '05 and '06 pilgrimages, so I'm sure you are going to be very impressed. JJ
alliclaytor
No, I am not pulling anybodies leg. I bought these cause they werenice and priced even nicer. The people I bought them from said theywere too big and wanted in ceiling speakers (didn't fit their newspace) I have got lots of things I would love to have, and need tostart deciding on what I really want and what I will like and thenreplace in the future. And the decision making process often includespurchasing the items then deciding what you want to keep...then findingif there is a market for what you just bought and don't like. Iwouldn't sell the speakers for $625, but I doubt that I would hold outfor 95% of retail...I got a really good deal and I know that if someoneon here got a RC-7 for a song that I would not want to pay 95% ofretail for that either. Maybe I should have waited to even hintabout selling them before finding out if there was any interest on theforums. I don't want to get my or anybody else's hopes up until I makea decision...and right now it could go either way, I really only heardthem hooked up to a reciever playing "Ohh Donna" on the FM tuner, andthe speakers only wired to the HF inputs (Probably why the guy was sowilling to part with them, cause there wasn't any bass coming out) Ofcourse this could also mean that the bass speakers are blown (but Iseriously doubt it! these things are very very clean and they don'tlook like the loud listening couple) For the people interested, I planon deciding as to my future with the speakers before thepilgrimage...so that should help us both out. oldbuckster
It's hard for me to believe you wouldn't want to keep those H-3's. Take your time with them, it takes awhile to get them in the right position for a sound to suit your taste. They are kinda' touchy about their location, takes time to get each room right for Heresy's. Whatever you do, ENJOY.................. Jay481985
is the speaker missing the jumpers on the binding post? just cut a piece of wire for now and stick them between the binding posts and place the reguilar wire anywhere
alliclaytor
I found the jumper...and they sound great. Putting them next to my RF-7's it is a tough comparison. The heresy's sound more balanced and great with most all types of music (more a listening room speaker), whereas the RF-7's have a lot more power handling, bass, and image better (with no center channel this is imporntant with movies (more a HT speaker). The gf loves them both, and I am leaning towards keeping them...either way I am glad i have got a chance to listen to them.

MORE please, I don't know of anyone who has BIG Reference and NEW Heritage in the same building. Especially on the imaging and which pair you prefer WITHOUT support from a sub. I wouldn't sell until after the Pilgrimage. You never know what you'll see/hear at the Pilgrimage! M
