thewolf
Looking for some guidance on which surround speakers to go with. Current set-up is a 5.1 running through an old Harman Kardon AVR55; Cornwall fronts, Academy center, and RSW12. I don't have room for full surround speakers so any of the heritage line is out. In keeping with the Klipsch theme, which surrounds would sound the best with this set-up. Thanks, Gary
tommyboy
What's your budget?? If it's within your means, get two more CW's!
theplummer
If I were in your current situation, I'd try finding some of the old Kg bookshelf series. There were about a hundred different versions of them and they seem to voice pretty close to the corns. Did you find an Academy? What do you think about the hole in the center of your soundstage with that, or am I just being too critical?
thewolf
Budget wise I would like to keep it under $400. Size-wise; I don't even have room for a Heresy, that leaves the CW out (too bad for me).
thewolf
Thanks Plummer....I'll look into some Kg's. I found an Academy within 1.5 hr drive.....got real lucky. I am very pleased with the way it paired with the Cornwalls. I feel the front end is now complete and my wife approves. She was resistant about a third Cornwall, I don't know why. I thought it would look and sound awesome with a wall of Corn's up front. Isn't that why they named them CornWALLS. Just need to fill the back stage and I'll be a happy camper (at least for a week or two).
tommyboy
Ya, KG's should work great with your other speakers.
