boa12 Posted March 18, 2001 Share Posted March 18, 2001 my vel hgs-18 has just a switch for either 0 or 180. & it was $2200 ($3000 msrp) so i guess it isn't a high priority for them to offer a variable phase control. now i think it sounds tighter w/ the rf-3 on 0 (a lil muddy on 180 but seemingly more bass). seems to sound a lil better for music w/ the other speaks set to small too, probably because of less bass cancelation w/ the sony receiver bass management characteristics. anyway, sounds great any which way. i guess just matters my preferences on any given day.
