Shodrewken
I'm looking to add a sub to my CW, heresy rig. What would be the best sub in the $600 range for this setup?
Bill H.
As someone directed me to eariler..............go for the Synergy Sub 12 ! http://www.bestbuybusiness.com/bbfb/en/US/adirect/bestbuy?cmd=catProductDetail&showAddButton=true&productID=BB10680459&websrc=FRBB10680459
Groomlakearea51
Yes, the sub-12; best bang for the buck; would have kept mine, but WAF did not like a big black square box in the living room........ You can get one from an authorized dealer for about $350-$400.
sivadselim
Yes, the sub-12; best bang for the buck; would have kept mine, but WAF did not like a big black square box in the living room......... You were selling a KSW12, not a Sub-12. They're different subs.
Shodrewken
Thanks for the replys, the sub 12 looks like a great sub, and I have read many rave reviews about it. However I've been reading about the svs PB12-NSD, I have seen nothing but good reviews about it. Now I know the its a little bit more expensive ($599 on their site) than the sub 12, but from what I've read from various forums, the extra expense would be worth it. What do you all think? Is the PB12-NSD a good sub, and would it blend well with my CW and heresys? Should I just keep klipsch equipment with klipsch equipment? I'm using an Onkyo TX-SR703 receiver if that makes any difference.
Shodrewken
One other thing, this system is mostly used for music with occasional movie watching, probably 80/20 usage. so I guess what would the more musically inclind sub?

Tom Adams
My current 7.1 HT is a Cornwall mains, Heresy surrounds system that uses an older KSW-15 for a sub. The room measures 15' W by 28' D. Recently I swapped out the KSW with the Sub-12 I have in the den system. The Sub-12 kicks the crap outta the KSW-15. Is the Sub-12 better than the SVS?? Can't say. All I can offer is that in my room, with my speakers, the damn thing will go deep and with decent authority. The KSW-15 admittedly isn't that great a sub, but it's got decent depth albeit not much in output. Still, the Sub-12 walks all over the KSW. But what I really like about it is its performence with music DVD's. In that role, I feel it's one helluva sub. Tom
Jay481985
the sub12 would be good but those ultra 2 (kw120) really made indy klipsch fan, colter, and the cornwalls at indy shine!
