Receiver recommendation for RP5/RS3/RC3

Hi,

I am in the process of putting together my first home theater / audio system.

I purchased Klipsch RP5, RS3-II, and the RC3-II.

I am willing to spend $3500 - $5000 to finish putting the system together.

I was looking at the Denon AVR5800 and DVM4800 vs the Marantz SR9200 and VC5200.

It was then suggested that in my budget price range I should look at seperates. I looked at Adcom, Rotel, and Parasound.

Now, I am totally confused as the best way to go.

My preference of importance is 60% home theater and 40% music.

What do you recommend High end A/V Receiver or mid-fi seperates?

Does one combination/brand match better with these speakers?

Thanks for your attention and help, Bob

If I were looking to spend that kind of money I would definitely go with seperates. Any of the names you mentioned would be fine. I prefer the offerings from Rotel. I would also look at the Outlaw products. There is an endless list of options and I'm sure people will offer their own opinions.

don't forget to tuck some powerful subs in the corners, the KSW12 sub that is in the RP5s is a good mid-bass sub, but for the really low stuff, like U-571, another deep-bass sub would really make a difference and if you buy a receiver like the well regarded Outlaw (which I have not heard) you should have money for a fairly decent sub, I am thinking about something like the SVS tubes, which can go very deep ...

If it's your first HT set-up,and considering the speakers you've selected,my recommendation would be a Denon 3802 receiver and a really big HDTV.

Use the leftover cash for a dedicated music system and cold beer.Maybe a few DVD's,too! Good luck fella. This hobby will break you down like a double barrel shotgun.
