Hardhead
I'm new to this BBS, but I already know how helpful everyone is here, so I thought I'd try making a request. I'm looking for a pair of middle-aged Heresys in oiled walnut built around 1980, plus or minus a few years. To match the tone of my other speakers, they need to have K-77-M tweeters, K-55-V midranges with the solder-on wire terminals. Also, they need to have been kept in a smoke free environment. Since shipping is pretty expensive these days and sometimes risky, I would be willing to drive a reasonable distance (a few or even several hundred miles each way for the right pair) from Dallas to pick them up myself. Do any of you folks have or know of such a pair? I've already checked e-bay, but some sellers are less than candid or informed. Thanks in advance for your help. P Ward
I live in Fort Worth and find Klipsch to be fairly easy to find by searching the classified adds. I know that Hillcrest Highfi (Dallas) and Marvins Electronics (fort worth)in the 70's and 80's pushed the Hertage lines alot. I bought my cornwall in the Star telegram for 200 dollars, yeh I bought them for that, but that what they wanted for them. I also bought a pair of Heresy's at Marvins Electronics in fort worth for 350. I'm currently looking for another pair of Heresy's so you better call them befor I do ------------------ Paul Ward my home theater www.brookesbakersurveyors.com/klipschht.htm
BigBusa
ebay is another good place to search. It will give you a good idea on prices and conditions of different heresy pairs in case you can find some locally to buy.
