Nice speakers will ALWAYS bring a nice price. Average is average. Bunch of them around. I drove to Mississippi for a nice pair of Khorns that my cousin bought new. I paid him top dollar but they were extremely nice with boxes and like new. It may sound foolish now but pay what is needed for nice speakers. They don't grow on trees anymore. And probably won't be. Personally I'm trying to find the nicest ones I can find. While I can. I'm not going to look back and say "I wish I had bought those speakers". I don't see a lot of good speakers being made anymore.

That logic applies to many things, like motorcycles and cars, for example. Average-looking gets an average price, but like-new is always worth top dollar. Trying to put something scruffy or average-looking into like-new condition is often nearly as expensive as buying new.
