Possibly assembling first Vintage Stereo Setup-help!?

Looking to buy a pair of oiled walnut Heresy II's with slant risers, in exc condition, for around 475.

From here I'd need something to run them. From the same dealer I can get a Marantz 2220B for next to nothing, then I'd just need a cd player for source material.

I also have a possible opportunity to acquire a Marantz 2270 Stereo Tuner for around 180-200.

Wanted to know how either one of these would sound with a pair of heresy's for 2 channel stereo. I do not have much experience with vintage gear, but am definitely intrigued.

Does anyone have much experience with either of these tuners? And in particular with Heresy's?

Thanks in advance

I don't have any experience yet, my 2245 is in the shop. You can search old threads here & at Audiokarma. I did & the consensus was any of the Marantz 22xx series will sound wonderful, in my case with cornwalls. Also many here have tried & liked The Harman Kardon 430, 730, 930 from the 70's.
