Tom Adams
Ok - lets just get this out the way......I'm an idiot and know just enough to be dangerous. [:$] [:S] Based on input from a couple of folks here, I bought a Netgear WPN811 Rangemax PCI wireless card for my desktop PC and a Netgear WPN824 Rangemax wireless router. I seem to have gotten the PCI card installed and configured ok, but the router has me stumped. I did exactly what the instructions said to do, but the setup program keeps saying that I have no internet connection. I don't want to go into a long drawn-out typing dialog here, so I was wondering if anyone would be willing to entertain a phone call conversation to help me out? I'll gladly call anyone willing to help me. And yes, I tried calling Netgear, but oddly the call ended up in New Delhi and I didn't understand a bloody thing they said. [8o|] TIA. falcon20x
May be this web side can help www.portforward.com I had a netgear router with the same problem but I can't remenber what I did to fix it, sorry. Whatever I did got me on line (I think it was something with the HTCP setting) but then the connnection keept dropping off. Everytime it happened, which was totally random, I had to manually reconnect. I end up getting a D-link router and never had a problem since then.
