Christopher L. Berry
I have a pair of KLF-20's that are about 9yrs. old. While cleaning the dust off the woofers the other day, I noticed that the rubber surrounds were looking a little dry rotted. What, if anything can I do to restore them a little without affecting the sound or damaging them futher. I really love em and I want to make them to last as long as I can. Keep in mind that I don't want to take them out of the cabinets. Any suggestions from you experienced audiophiles out there would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I'm not he first one to experience this problem.
Frzninvt
Some companies suggest using mink oil on rubber surrounds to keep them supple and lubricated. Just make sure they are indeed rubber and not coated or treated foam.
