  1. I have a pair of KLF-20's that are about 9yrs. old. While cleaning the dust off the woofers the other day, I noticed that the rubber surrounds were looking a little dry rotted. What, if anything can I do to restore them a little without affecting the sound or damaging them futher. I really love em and I want to make them to last as long as I can. Keep in mind that I don't want to take them out of the cabinets. Any suggestions from you experienced audiophiles out there would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I'm not he first one to experience this problem.
  2. Thanks for the help guys. Hey Vman ,don't you love those KLF-20's!!!!
  3. Maxium of $200 and 6ft. lenghts. Vman, who did your crossover upgrades and to what specs.
  4. Hey guys, I need some advice on a good set of speaker cables for my KLF-20's that will not piss off the wife.
  5. MFSL's version's of Rush's Moving Pictures and Steve Winwood's Back In The High Life. Eagles-Hell Freeze's Over Days Of The New- I Dire Straits-Brothers In Arms
  6. Rip Rowan is right on about this recording. I love Rush, but Vapor Trails sounds like total crap. This is hands down the worst sounding cd I have. The production is just plain awful. I would guess that this would be a good example of a compressed recording. And just like Rip says " it's to loud". To bad about the sound on this album as it is Rush's best collection of songs since 1983's Signals. Adcom GTP-600 Pre Adcom GFA-7500 Amp Adcom GCD-700 CD Sony DVP-NC655P DVD Klipsch KLF-20's Front Klipsch KLF-C7 Center Klipsch KG-5.5's Rear
  7. I like them just the way they are. When I listen to my KLF-20s I think "there cannot be a better sounding speaker on the planet for under $2000." If there is I haven't heard them. I love to blast MFSL's versions of Rush's Moving Pictures and Signals. My system is a little odd, but here it is: Adcom GTP-600 Pre-Amp [ old and has no DD or DTS but it has 5 channel stereo and it is a good sounding Pre] Adcom GFA-7500 Amp Adcom GCD-700 cd Sony DVP-NC655P DVD Klipsch KLF-20s Front Klipsch KLF-C7 Center Klipsch KG 5.5s Rear Klipsch KSW-200 Sub [that I never use] Like I said, she is a little odd, but I have friends that have spent thousands more on speakers and hardware and when they listen to my system I can see them turning green with envy!!!!
  8. I bought my KG 5.5'S back in 96 and they were $900. I bought a pair of KLF-20s two years later and they were about $1500.
