Hiss/Static from Rear Speakers

While the control pod is powered off, there is a pretty loud hiss/static sound from the rear left channel, and when it's powered on the hiss remains on that channel, and it also present on the rear right channel.

Anyone else have this problem, or have an idea for a solution? I've moved the speakers around and they're fine on the front channels, it's just the rear.. I've tested the wires and they're fine too; so it seems like a problem with the pre-amp.

i agree, probably a preamp problem. you are still under warranty so contact Klipch, they are back wednesday, and let them know that you need a new control pod, or see if they can do any more troubleshooting though i do think it to be your control pod

what about when you turn off the computer.. still get the hiss? it might be your sound card also...

It's still present when the computer is off..

It's not that noticable, but it would be nice if it was gone..

Yea, i just got mine today and i'm having the same problem off the start. it's not looking too good. it's hissing on 3 out of 4 speakers. does anyone know if Outpost works tomorrow. i need to send these back and get a replacement.
