Connecting RT-10d to reciever

What is the proper way to connect this sub to the reciever? I have a Denon-3808ci which has a single line out for the subwoofer. The connection on the back of the RT-10d has a left and right input. I have tried it with just the left or right connected to a single monster cable sub wire, but I am unsure if I am recieving full input this way? I purchased a rca jack splitter but have had intermittent sound issues(signal cutting out completely).

Take a closer look at your sub's connection panel. One of the RCA inputs (likely the right one) may be marked Mono. If it is, use that one. If you're using a single sub, it will be receiving a mono signal from the receiver. If you get a splitter and connect to both, you may get more volume than you need or want and just have to turn it way down. As well, if the splitter is causing problems, forget about using it.
