edster00 Posted January 4, 2002 Share Posted January 4, 2002 Hi, I have had a SW12II in my HT setup for about a year now. I got it to replace a KSW12. In my room the SW12II seems much more powerful than the KSW12. The SW12II is not as boomy, seems much louder, and seems to extend lower (even though the specs don't show this). I have not heard a SW12, but it looks identical (in the specs section of this website) to the SW12II. That being said, I am going to be selling my SW12II soon. While watching "DAS BOOT" a couple of weeks ago I (it) managed to knock a few Christmas decorations off our entertainment center. She who must be obeyed says "OUT"! LOL! T2K Posted January 4, 2002 Share Posted January 4, 2002 JT, I have an SW12II also.Have had it since Jan.1995.I think this line of subs easily outperform the subsequent 'bottom firers' that Klipsch built. Seems the original SW series (I?) had problems with the amps,if I remember correctly.You might call Trey for better info. For the price that you can find them at now,I recommeng them.Good luck.
