carps Posted December 22, 2007 Share Posted December 22, 2007 ack! replaced my mid and the other mid is viberating:-( .. lastnight i was playing some music and no sound from horn:-( just bought these used.. payed way to much but had to have them... still sound better than most speakers even with mid vibe and no horn:-) hehehe... anyways... anyone no if horn can be rebiult on these or do i have to buy new one?? thanks... longdrive03 Posted December 22, 2007 Share Posted December 22, 2007 If the horn diaphragm is blown it can be replaced. I think this horn uses the neodymium motor assembly. The assembly or diaphragm can be replaced. No need for a new horn. I would check to see if you possibly pulled one of the wires off the tweeter when you replaced your mid. Vibrating mid could be no secured to mounting plate tightly? I've got some of the K-1057's if you need help. Maybe the motor assembly and driver.
