Monster Interlink 100 is it really that bad?

I have a 1 meter length of the Monster interlink 100 stand cable. I am going to use a Monster Cable Y adapter at the reciever end and then connecting the Monster 100 Pair from the Y to the Subwoofer. Is this okay to power my Soon to Arrive earthquake MKIII subwoofer. Worked fine for the Klipsch i had. Most people use a Y adapter at the Subwoofer END and then bring only 1 cable from the reciever, i'm doing the opposite.

What you are doing is fine. Most find it cheaper to run a long length of single patch cord, than a L/R set. That's why most use the y connector at the sub (:
