rbfactor
I have a KV-2 as my center channel and think that voices sound muffled while watching DVD's. I am using a Denon 2802 receiver. I am no stereo tech but I am wondering if it may be the horn that was used in the KV-2. According to the Klipsch specifications, it is an "exponential cone". Most of the new center channel speakers seem to feature tractrix horns. Does anyone know if a tractrix horn would be superior to an exponential cone for listening to voices (which I believe are part of the midrange)? Moderators Youthman Posted February 23, 2008 Moderators Share Posted February 23, 2008 I have the KV-3 center and the dialog is much clearer than my previous Polk. I do not feel that it is muffled and it uses the same tweeter as yours. I could be wrong but I believe most of the midrange comes from the woofers, not the tweeter. The tweeter picks up the much higher frequencies.
