mdbrien
Does anyone know where I can find a pair of XLR y-adapters?
colterphoto1
did you try PartsExpress yet?
mdbrien
Yes, I found many XLR cables, but no Y-Adapters. I need a female to 2 male y-adapters.
colterphoto1
Looks like time to get out the soldering iron. I didn't find them either.

DrWho
I've never been able to find them pre-made so have always just made them myself. Why are you looking for a Y-adapter? Sometimes there are switches on amps that will parallel the inputs if that's what you're looking to do.
Guest " "
There are different types of y-adapters and the wiring for them are different. A XLR bridging y-adapter is a normal xlr on one end, with two xlr connectors on the other. One is wire for + phase, the other for - phase. When you run this from your pre-amp to your amp, only the + connectors of your speaker connections are used. this bridges your amp. impedance instructions for your amp need to be observed. If your amp has a min load requirement of 2 ohms, in bridge mode, that means you can use a 4 ohm speaker min. mdbrien
This is what I was looking for. I have two Aragon 8008BB amps that I would like to hook to an Aragon Aurum preamp to run two pair of speakers using the balanced outputs of the Aurum. http://www.4electronicwarehouse.com/products/monster/mcl_mx2fx.html
SWL
I have some that are made by "Hosa". They don't seem to be the greatest quality though.
