htxpert
Hello all, As you know the PS3 can be operated with an I/R USB adapter but we werestill lacking a power on power off from an I/R based remote, the problem hasnow been solved thanks to a start up manufacturer. Additionally the Playstation3 is now officially the first profile 2.0 Blueray player on the market with thenewly released firmware and DTS-MA will be coming for the PS3 in a soon to bereleased firmware revision. I am definitely not a Sony fan boy and detest justabout every product they manufacture but I must admit the PS3 is truly anawesome Bluray player and ***COUGH*** Sony is supporting its platform admirably. http://ir2bt.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=5IR2BT $55.00 Model: IR2BT-01 Shipping Weight: 0.3lbs 30 Units in Stock TheIR2BT - InfraRed to BlueTooth Converter for controlling your PS3 viauniversal IR remote. SCOOTERDOG
seems to be a little backwards. I would think if you were going to offer a converter for a PS3 it would be a bluetooth to RF. Most of the higher end universal remotes are RF. Personally I hate IR remotes because my equipment is in the back in the sidewall. It would be nice to see a Bluetooth universal remote hit the market that would accept signals from IR and RF and convert them to BT. PS: I have never been a Sony fan but I love my PS3 it is an incredible machine.
