Brac Posted April 9, 2008 Share Posted April 9, 2008 Hey, A friend of mine picked up a vintage 15" speaker cabinet. Asked me if there is a 15" klipsch speaker that he could use to make an amp/monitor, for playing bass guitar. I was thinking a K-33, but thought I should ask before I point him in the wrong direction. So I know Eminence makes drivers just for this purpose, if not a K-33, is there a Klipsch driver that would do well for this?? Don Richard Posted April 9, 2008 Share Posted April 9, 2008 The Eminence driver that was used in the 70s-80s and used by Klipsch as the K-33 was a music instrument speaker and would work for a bass guitar in the proper cabinet. However, it would be more valuable as a K-33 to be used for replacement purposes in a Klipsch product. Other, better options exist for MI drivers.
