Moretite on Plastic Horns????

Recommended Posts

I know that Moretite works on Steel horns but does it really have that much of an effect on plastic horns? I currently have a pair of Forte II's and was wondering if it helps plastic horns. Thanks for your response. Also has anyone used any damping on Woofer metal cage as in Dynomat on the outside steel?

Depends on the horn. The plastic tractrixes I had from Klipsch Pro were very heavy and well-stiffened with heavy ribs, they sounded fine. The plastic JBLs I've seen and heard were dead too. But I have some plastic PAudio horns that quack like ducks. Try the damping, it can't hurt.
