colterphoto1
It's a nice afternoon, I thought I'd drag some commercial gear out in the drive and practice hooking up some systems (yeah, the stuff some of us do for 'fun'). Got this new DBX driverack electronic do-everything box. Problem is some speakers are 1/4", some are bananas, some are Speakon. The DBX takes XLR only and I've got some cables I could cut down and make patch cords out of. Go to the 1/4" drawer- drat- two way only, no balanced 1/4" plugs. All my big pile-o-cables I bought from Parts Express have the wrong XLR on them. arrrgggh, looks like I'll be taking inventory this afternoon for another Parts Express order tomorrow. Sometimes this hobby can be maddening, no? Anybody need anything? LOL Michael

colterphoto1
You really like those Jamo boxes, don't you? I know of two European dealers of ours who personally own them too. I did listen to the KP201 outside today but even I can get frustrated with the spaghetti some days. [:S] Time to come in and enjoy some tunes for a Sunday afternoon. BS Button
Yes, and can you find a pair? Either one. Won't feel like I'm going out behind her back (Klipsch) that is.. BS

Unless you have some really efficient speakers. lol
colterphoto1
No Bill, it's just mismatches on every front. I'm trying to construct PA racks that are flexible for my various systems. Plug compatibility is becoming a massive issue. In the speaker area I can terminate all amp ends with Banana plugs, but need 1/4, banana, or Neutrik at the speaker ends. I just need to ante up and get a further boatload of interconnect cables for crossovers, compressors and the DBX. I'm talking three racks worth here. a 10 space with two mid sized Crowns, a rack of all amps for larger systems, and a tall rack with processing gear. Did an inventory on all panels today. Will order tomorrow. It was just disappointing to have a mountian of gear an not enough cables to hook it all up today. M

Never tried to make a rack for use with multiple systems, because I may need to use them simultaneously.
