maximus Posted February 24, 2001 Share Posted February 24, 2001 Now I know this subject has been beaten to death, but I can't descide whether to get the Acoustic Edge or a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 OEM. I keep reading that the Acoustic Edge has bass problems. The card sounds really cool with some nice features but if the bass and sound suck compared to the SB Live then I would get the Live. Is this Acoustic Edge problem going to be fixed in a future driver release? Is this a problem too with the new 4.1 speakers?? Any help or opinions would be great! However, there are a bunch of people who have had no problems whatsoever. If you have win98, I'd suggest getting the AE. ------------------ "Feh." Zero Gear Posted February 24, 2001 Share Posted February 24, 2001 It has great sound, the bass is its only problem. While SB Live has loud bass (blurred), and blurry sound from the rear speakers.
