TheEAR Posted January 31, 2002 Share Posted January 31, 2002 Sorry nope, Even the bass freak sub human EAR never owned a McIntosh sub.I hear one in a audio shop one time,nothing to write home about.It was 4000 Canadian I think,dont remember the model number. I mean $4000 even if these are Canadian dollars should buy you a mighty powerful and refined sub...its $2500 US! At 2.5 grand US you can get a Velodyne HGS18 or A Revel B15 or a pair of SVS Ultra with Samson amp.Or a Sunfire Signature and a Sunfire Junior! These will hit low and hard.And on music will surprise most snooty goofball audiophiles whi say subs are for non audiophiles.
