damonrpayne
I have a friend who just bought some RCW-3 to put in various rooms of the house he is building. His ceiling has the plywood engineered ibeam trusses. He is wondering if he needs to build some kind of baffle or enclosure so that: 1) The entire space in each particular truss is not effectively the speaker enclosure and vibrating into other rooms 2) He builds an approproate enclosure size if need be Can anyone help out? Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted September 5, 2008 Klipsch Employees Share Posted September 5, 2008 the speaker will work fine in a 1 to 1.5 cubic foot enclosure. it does not need an "extra" enclosure, the space between the beams will do fine. The extra enclosure will help with sound in other rooms.
colterphoto1
I just 'stuff' the ends of the space on either side of the speaker with fibreglass. If he builds an enclosure it needs to be solid enough not to buzz.
