coffeejim
A Couple of Questions: 1. My serial numbers are 77T093 and 77T094, does that mean made in 1977? 2. Heresy or Heresy II? 3. Consdering a low budget tube amp. Has anyone heard of the Glow Tube Amp? Jolida? One more- Are 1975 Cornwalls in good shape worth 600.00? Thanks- Jim
jheis
Welcome to the forum. Lots of good folks & good information here! 1. T = 1979. 2. Heresy. 3. Nope (not me anyway). IMO Cornwalls in good condition (any year) are a steal at $600. James
fenderbender
Jump on the cornwalls for $600.....one of the best all around speaker you can get ....does it all As far as Tubes go you may want to look into a vintage scott integrated amp...I believe one of our members has a few for sale in the the Garage sale section......Goes real nice with cornwalls.... Also some of the older Mcintosh SS MA 5100 MA 6100 integrated amps sound really sweet with Cornwalls just my 2 cents
HPower
Hey Jim, jheis has you covered, and I agree, jump on those $600 Corns. I am using a Jolida 300B (9wpc SET) with my Khorns and am loving the sound. It's still amazes me how the 9 watts on the Jolida blows away the 90 watts when I switch over to my Denon AV receiver (usually just for movies). May not have quite enough jam to drive your Heresys... might be ok on the Cornwalls. I used a pair of Quicksilver Mid Monos (50wpc EL34) with my Corns, with very nice results.
