Groomlakearea51
Vintage ss amps? Prices are fairly good right now. Marantz, HK, Sansui, Pioneer. Or go for broke and look for a nice McIntosh...
DIXIEWELDER
TALKED TO YA BEFORE!!! GOT A HK430. LIKE IT,BUT LOOKING FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT. ANY SPECIFIC MODEL #'S IN MIND? Groomlakearea51
Nothing at the moment.... My preference (just MHO..) would be a Sansui AU-999, 717, 919, 9900 or 11000, in about that order of ascending price. Best buy right now, if you can find one that's in good condition, etc would be a 999. Basic 55 wpc, sounds very warm, almost "tube" like. HudsonValleyNoah
Scott 340B at around 40 watts per channel, 7591 output tubes and going for low prices on eBay right now. Great sounding Receiver but after you buy one off eBay you can expect to spend a couple hundred dollars more to have a pro like Terry DeWick check it out and freshen it up... I own 2 (one as found and one freshened up by Terry) but I have been hanging on to them because the market is depressed. The one that Terry did might be a good choice for you. I'll send you a PM tonight after things settle down tonight... Noah
