You might be ok then, that's plenty of power.

If you can wait, hold out for the AL6. While I've not heard them specifically, I can state from my experience with DIY horns using a 2" mid driver, Tri-amping and an active crossover for PEQ, time and phase alignment, that the coming AL6 generation of LaScala should be a quantum leap beyond the AL5 and anything else that preceded them.

Fortes being the red headed step child is really not true. People on this forum seem to love them. They are well reviewed. I've had my IV's for 2 years and they are by far my favorite speaker I've ever owned, and I've owned a few. I think they are great for all kinds of music but are particularly great for rock and roll and metal. Really the only negative thing I've read about them on this forum is some people prefer other Klipsch heritage models over them. Nothing wrong with that. Doesn't mean they aren't great speakers. -
Thank you for the info!! The historical aspect of these are every bit as much fun as the listening.

I have the 1978 Cornwall as well and it sounds as though one of the woofers is going when played at loud volumes. It also looks like the woofer is 12' Does anyone know what the replacement part would be? Thank you all

How many small niche companies have you owned? I think I already know the answer. Why do people keep ordering? -

You think if 2 watts aren't enough for you that 4 watts will be? It would be rare if that's the case.
