I have RF-35. I also made a semi-blind purchase. I went and fell in love tthe RF3II where I listened to them in Sound Advice. I was still shopping atthe time where I found a store that deals in some really high end audio stuff in Miami. PLUG LOL Advanced Home Theater. The genlteman there was very attentive and respectful and never talked down to me. He suggested to try the new series. He said he was buddies with one of the Klipsch guys and that he swore that the 35s are all that. Better bass response nicer all over. Anyways I have it now and WOW They SOUND AWESOME!!!!! And you dont really need a sub with them either!! Try playing the scene in starwars episode II opening scene. It has to deep hard hits!!! Really sweet! I highly recommend the RF35 and if anyone is looking for a place to get some nice gear Advanced Home Theater in Miami is your place.

I know this may sound stupid but just to make sure. Only the extended version of LotR has DTS.

Hey guys I have something you guys can use. Demo discs. Theyre always quick and sweet people dont get bored and they pic some awesome clips. The Jurasic Park Trailer in DTS is AMAZING!(SURROUND SPEAKERS WITH SOME GOOD BASS ARE GREAT HERE!!) So is the Haunting's trailer.. BY THE WAY!!! Lord of the rings the two towers will be DTS ES. Hi Guys I have a small question and wanted to see people's opinion. I currently am a satisfied and proud owner of my Integra reciever and a pair of RF-35s. I am going to add next two surround speakers to my setup. I have seen certain setups where they run bookshelf speakers as surround and other places speakers designed as surrounds speakers. Is there an advantage to either one?? Thx Emilio PS My next upgrade after that will be the center then lastly a sub.

Hi Guys, I would like to say that I have some very good experience with the Onkyo 600. I set up both my parents and grandparents with this reciever and it really rocks ($350.00). Believe it or not my grandparents push this receiever to the max! They both are Huge movie fans!! They watch 2-3 movies a day plus some of there soaps. They start at about 10:30 in the morning. to about 12 at night. The reciever is always running. So far it works awesome. I have myself an Integra 5.3 which is equiv to the 600. It also has been great. Just my 2 cents. Emilio

Well I was comparing them to my good friends RF3IIs which I still think sound fantastic and if you can get some of the deals out there like 400 for the pair and you on a budget well its a no brainer. I had a pair of old cerwin vegas. This is my first step into some higher end stuff. Emilio

Hi Guys FINALLY A Report!!!!!! Well Just to give you a little background. I got my stuff last week however I had to go to UF for my brothers graduation (Elec.Eng. with honors) Congrats. I finally got back on Monday and was able to connect it but I still did not have my DVD player. I got that taken care of on Tuesday. Then my internet went down. I didn't care too much since I got to play with my new toys. I hope to have pictures soon! I have the RF-35 hooked up to an Integra receiver 5.3 with a sony dvd (forgot the model#, Im writing from work). Well I assembled the speakers, the feet needed to be added. There was a small complaint. I was trying to screw in the foot and was having some resistance. On of the holes still was full of wood that I had to take out with a pick after I realized it was in there. The new grill with the magnet post is awesome. It snaps on very nicely!!! I connected the 14 awg speaker wire from the receiver with monster quick locks flex pins and used banana plugs on the receiver. I turned on the receiver and turned off all the speakers except the L/R and of course had it in stereo mode. I used the following for my initial listening of the speakers. I used the THX remastered version of Highlander for my DVD. For music I listened to Stings Brand New Day, Ja Rules Lets Ride, some songs from Celia Cruz, and finally Tony Rich Projects album Words. Through out all these discs the stage presence from the RF-35 is amazing. Listening to Celia Cruzs track projects her voice amazingly every little change is noted. The separation of tones and sounds is absolutely amazing. ( I feel all the Klipsch RF line does this, including the RF3IIs) The guiro in Celias songs was crystal clear and the placement of the background chorus was just as impressive. If anyone is familiar with Cuban music you would defiantly know what Im talking about. The RF-35s never sounded too bright. I could go on and on over the different music I heard and the differences but I will keep that limited. Ja Rules song Lets Ride has a deep boomy bass that hits the 35s strong bass range. The bass was tight with just the right boom and to top it off the speakers never fluttered even at the lower bass range with the Integra almost maxed out. This hard hitting track was played back perfectly. I would say in comparison between the RF3II and the RF35 the RF35 is indeed an improvement. What brought me to the RF3IIs in the first place was the great efficiency and separation of sound. Compared to the RF5s, the 3II had me convinced hands down for bang for your buck. The RF35 is the perfect blend between both of the old models. As I suspected the RF35 with the larger cabinet and higher crossover point has a deeper sound mellowing out what a lot of people considered an over powering brightness of the RF3IIs. The RF35 remains bright but has picked up a little boom when it comes down to the lower end without compromising a tight bass sound. I would say Klipsch has Kicked-A.. with these new speakers. I found that the Blues Brothers 2000 soundtrack is fantastic. Aretha Franklin, Wilson Picket, Erykah Baduh, BBKing, Johny Lang, Blues Traveler. Its has everything and one song there with a carribean steel drums. Just Fantastic!!!! Emilio

How about the Integra 8.3?

Hi I was comparing the RF-3II and the RF-35. Besides the obvious looks the stats seem almost the same. The biggest difference I found was the HF crossover point. The RF3-II is at 1975Hz and the RF35 is set at 2600Hz. I would imagine this makes the woofers do more work. I ordered a pair of the RF35 (naively) trusting the salesman telling me that the RF35 are suppose to blow away the RF3II. Ihave heard the RF3II and to me the seperation of freqs was superb and they sounded very aggressive. How will the change in crossover setting have an affect on the sound. I know this is all prediction but im just curious. Thx Emilio

I have purchased a pair of RF35 and I was told that they should be shipping in two days. Im guessing that means Monday the 28th. Emilio

Has anyone heard these side by side? I have the opportunity to purchase either one but I have not been able to listen to the RF35s yet. Has anyone had the chance to hear these yet? Are they worth the money?? Thx Emilio PS How is the Integra 5.3 reciever?

How will the RF3s sound with an XBox system. I will be using my system just as much for watching movies as playing games such as Halo and Splinter Cell. Anybody have any experience with home systems and video games??? Thx.
