Yea, I'd prefer a 5.1 system. What componants of the Synergy serious would I need? or what?

Hey, I already asked this in the HT section, but Iv'e only gotton 2 responses. So I'll try my luck here. I want a Klipsch Speaker system that I would use to mainly listen to heavy metal. What would be the best system to do that including receiver? Also, what would be the best system for the cheapest price to do that? I don't wanna go over $2000. Howbout for under $1000 ???

The RF-35's would be better then the RF-7's?? Also, for under $1000 what would be the best Klipsch speaker system for metal? Howbout the Synergy series? are they any good?

I'd like it to be under $1000, but unfortunatly $2000 is the max for right now. Thanks for the info and keep it comming! P.S.- I'm kind of a noob, so can u attach links to the site's where I can get this stuff from?

Hey guys. This is my first post in this section. I hail from the Ultra 5.1 section. ^^ Lol, anyway I have a serious question for you guys. I hope this is in the right section. Ok, I want a Klipsch Speaker system that I would use to mainly listen to music, and then secondly use to watch DVD's. I mainly listen to heavy metal/ rock. Things like System of a Down, Avenged Sevenfold, In Flames, From Autumn to Ashes, etc. Like I said, I like heavy metal. What would be the best system for heavy metal (including receiver)?? Also, what would be the lowest priced best system? Like gimme the best I can get, and then the cheapest one I can get but still would sound kick-*** w/ metal. THanks guys.

Ok, I have my SWS connected to my Ultra sub through the SWS link. Whenever I have my SWS on, it sounds likw the bass doesn't hit as low..and it's not even as loud to. How do u know if the subs are cancelling each other out? Also, I have my SWS on top if my sub. What setting should i put it that and how much is ur volume controll turned? Please post any suggestions. THanks.

I was also curious about this too, but the Creative decoder looks so ****ty and plastic...dunno how well built it is. If anyone has any info, I would also like to know.

RavenX, how do I have no knowledge?? Do u even own the DD-5.1?? Please think before making a reply. And DAZ, iight man sorry didnt mean to call u names...it just that U made it sound like the DD-5.1 is crappy...and its FAR from that.

read my post in "Not what I expected"...the first thread u made. Im answering my own question in saying that u are VERY stupid for making this decision. Don't throw a hissy fit just because u can't hook it up correctly. The DD-5.1 is the best thing to happen to Klipsch MM hookup. Again, read my post in ur first thread.

Make sure u have everything set up correctly, both on software and hardware. And in reguards to "Not what I expected" and "It's gonna go in the closet", are u stupid? No offense, but if u heard what the DD-5.1 sounds like properly set up, u'd be amazed. It sounds clearer then the movie theater...it's just simply jaw-dropping.

Ok now. I hear all of this talk about the subs canceling eachother and everything. What exactly is this? How do I know if this is happening? Also, in the manual for the SWS, it says to match the sws with the ultra sub volume and then never touch the sws pod to control volume again. How do I do this??

Crossover = 60 Phase = 180 I have mine on top of the ultra sub.

At first mine I didn't hear anything at all from my sws either...it turns out I had the cable backwards or some ****. Also, turn the phase to 180 and 90hz. Put the sws pod at half way. Now try..that's what I had to do and now I hear it plenty.

The Ultra sub can hit lower then then the SWS. Much lower without as much dropoff.

I have to agree with 007, the SWS sounds just as low as the Ultra sub...it's one little impressive beast.

I have the Promedia 5.1's and an Audigy 2 soundcard. I was wondering what is the best software to PLAY mp3's or wma's on that will take full advantage of my soundcard/ speakers so it would sound the best??

Are the promedia 5.1's the best or is there something better? By this is mean that the whole system comes in one box, no customizing. So whats the best out of the box comp speakers??
