  1. currently running the RF7 surround pkg and would like to update the reciever.currently using Onkyo txsr700 and it souds ok. a 6.1 reciever with 100 watts rms but i feel im missing something. any suggestions?price range under a grand. thanks for the ear.
  2. ill have to agree with the posts here, the RF7 series are in a league of there own and to compare them with the RF3ii series is really not fair. the RF3s are a great speaker but the RF7 you step into a whole new listning experience. My advise is if you can get them at a buy do it, run as fast as you can and youll never look back!

    RS7 on the way

yes thanks guys. there awesome. scared the cat with all the thunder and lightning. the wife acceptance factor is.........! hmmmmmm hey its my system not yours, hehehehehehe.
  4. well after months of listening to my home theater with the RF3iis which was a pleasure i asure you!, i opt'ed to go with the RS7 as my surrounds only because i like the way it put me in the movies that i watch, it gave me a more S U R R O U N D feel. ill still use my RF3iis for music but those darn RS7s....WOW! the system: RF7 fronts RC7 center RS7 surrounds, and RC3ii for the back chanel.(RF3iis as surrounds for music only.)svs20-39pci sub.
  5. well i auditioned the denon 3805 and WOW what a reciever 1130.00$ ouch. but i do like that room EQ and mike set-up thats real convienant! would like to know if it actually works tho.
  6. ill have to go with the RC3ii as well. the rear center should be localized straight forward,if you will, this will accent your rs3s.
  7. i have a surround reciever (onkyo txsr701) running RF7s front and RC7 center.Id like to use the RF3ii for my dvd music, sacd, and use the RS7s for my movie watching.the reciever does not have an A/B buttons.,it does have zone two capability, but it wont let me use two sets of speakers for the same source. So i thought i might need a SPEAKER SELECTOR SWITCH,to use the speakers i need for each application. i hope i made it more understandable this time so any help would be appreciated. thanks for the ear. Ric.
  8. ok id like to run my rear surounds rs3ii for movies and use the RF3ii floor standers when i listen to music. what is the better speaker selector to use, and is there any trick in hooking it up?? thanks for the ear.
  9. well im in the mood to upgrade my onkyo txsr700 100 watts per. to a reciever that ill get the most out of the RF7s. price range around 900 or less. any serious suggestions? keep in mind im not a fan of real bright music or movies, i like to hear them clear, and big. good luck and look forward to hearing your advise.
  10. what are good banana connectors to use with the RF7 floorstanders??

  16. heres the thing, currently ive been using the onkyo tx-sr701 and its a very good reciever and has the power im looking for.BUT.,im looking for that real clean sound with a snap, if you know what i mean. the onkyo is nice and warm but really lacks in low end frequency. im using the klipsch rf-7s in the front, and have the rs3ii's as the surrounds. what is the best match for these klipsch speakers? any advice would be welcomed. thanks .
  17. so which is the better sub? the klipsch rsw15 or the svs??
  18. alone in that spider hole one has to think???? really good, i needed a good laugh!!

  20. i kinda liked the onkyo with the klipsch speakers because klipsch are sensitive to begin with and the onkyo has a warm feel to there recievers so no real adjustments have to be made as far as bass or trebel. there power amps are rated high and they dont overstate their rms watts per channel as do some other reciever companys. youll have to listen to different manufactures so youll hear the sound youll want out of those beautiful RF7s. I seem to like the onkyo, but thats just me. good hunting.
  21. well where shall i start. at the beginning, ok...the dvd2900 @999.00 is a big player, weighing in at 40 something pounds. great build chassis. the picture and sound are crystal! easy to use remote.ect, ect, ect the dvd2200 @475.00 weighing in at a mere 14 or another pounds good build chassis, picture and sound crystal! altho a progressive flag prob on both machines are there but highly unnoticeable unless your looking for it. layer changes are not even noticeable. the dvd2900 adds 2 more DACs than the dvd2200 but youd really have to listen to notice any difference. so, in retrospect, for the middle class hard working men and woman out there the best buy is the dvd2200 @ 475.00. wounderful machine and worth every penny. the price will go down on both machines im sure as the market will be flooded with copy cat machines. dont be fooled by the others..denon dvd2900/2200 whatever your budget is the way to go.
  22. swissy your right...set weighing at "C" and slow. 70/75 db will be enough unless your in a huge room.depending on the speakers youll notice you may have to turn back fronts or even surrounds pending there sensitivty. good luck, and good listening.
  23. i have to agree with you on this. this is by far a video spectical!!the dts track is gloriously done. anymore suggestions on dvd concerts in dts would be apreciated. this one gets an A+
  24. anybody actually buy any of these discs? AVIA..SOUND AND VISION...set up discs. or are these a waste of money?
  25. ric
