get the promedia 2.1 and throw in an SWS, i don't think there is still anymore promedia 4.1 for sales..

I'm only using the speaker for my PC and discman with optical out, is it worth it for me to get it? thanks

whats the point of having 20 channels? And there are also no amp on the market that supports 20 channels and i think it will never happens

i've limited buget and i've only gotten this PM4.1 not long ago, so i do not think i'm going to spent too much on this, but thanks for replying.

From what i know, the reference series rsx-4 can be powered by 50watts of power output by the amp. Is it possible to use the rsx-4 or rsx-5 for the promedia 4.1?

Hi all, i'm using the extigy with my Promedia 4.1, does the extigy works the same way as the DD-5.1 as in decording of dolby digital signal? If u guys says that the DD-5.1 allows u to connect mutilple equiptments eg. dvd player, X-Box etc. I think the extigy can do the same thing too with it's spdif in and optical in. Do u guys think it is worth it for me to get a extra decorder?

A 5.1 will be good for movies lover. As u said, u are listening to music more than anything else, a 2.1 will be a better choice. Unless you wan to add some surround effect to your audio with the 4.1, other wise settle for a 2.1

what mp3 player are u using for the mp3 playback? do the EAX effect enable the rear speaker to produce and sound with cmss off? And btw, personally i dun like music playback with 4 channel cos it tent to be too noisy for my liking. they produce some sort of echo

i've changed my cable and changed the mini jack as well, i'm using a jack made of silver alloy, and i dun experience any of signal lost problem

mp3 files are encoded in stereo format, therefor there is no problem if there are no sound coming out from the rear speaker. And of course, u can get the mp3 to be played throught the 4 channel if u engage the cmss. i did it to mine and indead the sound did comes out from all 4 channel. Have u tried watching dvd that support dolby digital 5.1? And remember to turn off the cmss when watching dvd movies

From reviews that i seen from the internet, i thought there should not be a power switch avaliable for the PM 4.1, but my PM 4.1 have a power switch located at the back of the Sub-woofer. When i switch off the power, the amp switch itself off totally, consuming no electricity at all. Is there modification done to my PM 4.1 or is it that there are different PM 4.1 avaliable in the market? And btw, i'm using the 230V version. Thanks

For myself, i do hear quite a difference in audio quality. When the grill is removed, the sound is much more brighter. I prefer to have the grill off, but due to dust, i have the grill on most of the time.
