  1. Will there be a new speaker line from Klipsch this fall along the lines of what we saw at CES? I have heard they would be out this fall but someone I talked to at Klipsch denied this. Very curious, thanks.
  2. CECAA850 I saw you own both a PB12-Plus/2 and the PC-Ultra. Would you please share your impressions of these two subwoofers and compare them. Thanks, Bonedoc.
  3. What about the new Axiom Audio EP600. It is intriquing from the website info and does it all with just one driver and a small footprint. I have a SVS PC-Ultra that kicks butt. I wonder how the EP600 and PC-Ultra compare.
  4. I went from the RW-12 to a SVS PC-Ultra. There really is no comparison. My RW-12 is now collecting dust in a closet. The ultra is a much more impressive sub. Also the RW-12 would have difficulty switching to on from sleep mode. This was irritating if I was watching something at lower volumes to have to reach behind the RW-12 to manually toggle the switch. Other times I would put on a music channel with strong bass until the RW-12 sensed to turn on then watch a DVD. The SVS senses the LFE signal everytime no matter the volume. I love my Klipsch speakers but feel the PC-Ultra is a huge step up. Darla tapping the glass in Nemo is incredible. When I had the RW-12 I could not understand what people were talking about.
  5. IndyKlipschFan, My bad, meant to say cubic volume. But room is 20X30' with 10' ceilings. So actually does great in 6000 cubic foot room with large entry into another room.
  6. I have a PC-Ultra in a 4000 square foot family room and it is set at only 40% gain. Any louder and it overdrives the other speakers to the point where dialoque is even hard to pick up. I like my bass and the ultra delivers in spades. After hearing it I still have a hard time believing anyone would want more in their home. It is also very musical. Tough decision but in the end the TV-12 driver really shines. Tom V. explained to that the Ultra only gives up only 3-5 db to the PB-2 Ultra believe it or not. Below is a copy of his e-mail to me. I don't think he would mind. Hello, Will you be able to place the subwoofer in a corner of the roompreferably a corner near the key seating positions? Which receiver and speakers are you using in the system? The PB-2Ultra will have about 3-5dB more output capability compared to a single PC_Ultrabut both have the capabilities to extend below 20hz in your room. When listening to action oriented DVDs, do you occasionally use loud to very loud volume levelsperhaps even approaching reference levels? On the music side of things, do you have many pipe organ titles in your collection? Tom V. SVS
  7. I have a new NAD S250 hooked up to Klipsch Heresy's ect. When I set the levels on the back of the unit to anything above about 50% the speakers hum very loudly. Is this secondary to the efficiency of the Klipsch speakers or should I send it back. Thanks.
  8. Has anyone had the chance to honestly compare the two. Specifically high brightness, mids, tightness of bass ect. Just wondering.
  9. SteelerFan, How did you like your NAD S250 amp. Dp you know how it compares to the NAD T973?
  10. Price aside how much better would the SVS PC-Ultra be than the RW-12 I am currently enjoying. I have a very large room that opens to another room. With young children I do not listen at night at reference levels but would like some more low end oomph.
  11. I think I have my system properly balanced but still have to turn up the volume to hear dialog clearly. I have a cheap receiver. Could this be the problem? It is a $200 Sony all in one home theater receiver. My center channel is a RC-35. If I crank it too high I might as well not have mains (heresy's). Would a new receiver or even preamp/amp combo fix this with its higher current ect. Thanks in advance.
  12. The RW-12 matches perfectly w/ Heresey's. In fact with the RW-12 the sound of the Heresey's rivals any speaker out there. We all know how the Heresey's highs and mids are but it is lacking down low. The RW-12 fixes this seamlessly with a nice musical timbre as well to the bass. It keeps up with the Heresey's. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another RW-12 for the Heresey's.
  13. Does anyone know if Klipsch is about to release a RF-75 or something like it. It seems they are tweeking all their speakers and moving to a new designation. You know RF-3 to RF-35, RB-3 to RB-35 ect. Would want to wait on RF-7's then.
  14. I put my RB-5II's on 24" Sanus speaker stands and they are the perfect height when listening in the seated position for me. They look "right" at this height as well. At first I felt I needed taller stands as well but was glad I went with the 24" for a balanced look.
  15. I have had my Heresy's for twenty years now and they still amaze. Howerver, everyone gets the upgrade bug. Are the RF-7's really worth the upgrade. I realize the Heresy's lack in bass but I have that now covered with a Klipsch RW-12 which integrates with them seamlessly. What are your all's thoughts. Thanks in advance.
