  1. You should investigate with paypal and ebay further. A few different buyers have screwed a few friends and myself. We posted auctions they won the auction paid and we shipped out the goods. A few days later each of us received an email saying something along the lines of they didn't receive the product or it was not what we advertised which was of course total bull. Anyhow within a day or two of that email the money that they sent to us via paypal was removed from each of our accounts. Basically what I'm saying is look into it further ASAP. I'm pretty sure with what has happened to my friends and I (all separate incidents with different buyers) there has to be a way to get your money back especially because you truly didn't receive what you should have. Good luck I hope this works out for you.
  2. My RC I started with a Grasshopper way way back. Then upgraded to the original RC-10. Then purchased the truck conversion for the RC-10. Then my local hobby shop put in an indoor on road track and I got a RC-10L 1/10 scale and a RC-12L 1/12 scale. Racing those two were really fun. Unfortunately that same store took out their track and moved to a new location. Closely there after I sold all of my stuff. A few years ago a buddy of mine got back into off-road 1/10 2-wheel drive again and I purchased a RC-10 B3 off of him and still own it. I'm trying to decide what to do with all my current stuff. None of my buddies are into RC anymore and its not much fun by yourself. I've had a load of fun over the years with RC cars and would love at some point to get into RC helicopters or planes.
  3. Its nice to "hear" that you have a working sub at least and that your new one is still on the way. I have not had the pleasure of listening to any of the RSW's but I'm sure they are very nice especially the 15. One word of caution: Even though I have not heard this sub before whatever you do do not let them deliver that sub directly to your home or let the service center let you take it home without returning the other. I'm afraid if you had two of these subs at your home at the same time you may give in to their evil wishes and hook the two up together and that would be wonderful except to one thing and one thing only. Your pocketbook
  4. Would the RF-3 blow the KG's out of the water? Also how would RF-3 and RS-3 and RC-3 overall compared to my current HT? If anyone has heard 3.5 compared to the RF-3 that would be great to hear as well. I think that I enjoy my 3.5's more than my 4.5's. I think the 4.5's would do better with more power separates etc. Opinions wanted Thanks
  5. bchild Any updates? I have been following this for awhile now and I'm hopeful that this truely ended up the way they said it would. Please let us know what happened.
  6. Thanks again for your posts. I suppose I will think this over and wait to see if anyone else wants to throw their opinion to the ring.
  7. So a couple for KG a couple for KV... After reading these posts I was thinking, as I previously posted, a pair of KG 2.2v or KG 2.5v would be the best. The other speaker in the pair would make a decent center for my other system or for a rear center channel. Any other people have an opinion on which would be better KV-1,2,3 or 4 or KG 2. something? In another thread lipinski asks the difference between the 2.2 and the 2.5. Other than the obvious does anyone know the performance difference between the two? If anyone out there has an opinion if this switch is the right thing to do I would also appreciate hearing from them. I don't want do "downgrade" my center speaker. I want my center to be a better match but don't want to take away from what I am used to. Any other opinions would be great Thanks again for all the posts and help.
  8. KG 2.2 has a PHENOLIC dome compression driver with two K-1008-K 6.5" (16.51cm) Injected Carbon Graphite cones KG 2.5 has a POLYMER dome compression driver tweeter with two K-1019-S 6.5" (16.51cm) Injected Carbon Graphite cones Those are the only differences that I can see...as far as what that means I have no idea! I would like to know the answer to this question myself seeing as how I'm looking to possibly purchase these.
  9. I have a CRT TV but currently I have my center channel about 12-16 inches above my TV. Would that distance create interference on my screen? If I were to get a non shielded unit is there something that I could place that on like say a piece of metal to prevent the interference or should I just opt for the 2.2v or the 2.5v? If I were to get a pair of speakers say the KG 2.5 or 2.2 whichever are better then I could use the other speaker for a center for my other system.
  10. Thanks for the replies... gcoker Thanks for the info. I see that those 4 you mention are matched to the KG line. It looks like the KV-3 would be the best match for me 4.5's and 3.5's. Anyone else think this would be my best bet? Anyone out there have this center? Keep in mind that right now I have the KLF-C7 and I like it but would like something that "matches" my current system better and I don't want to downgrade. Do you think that this would be a significant downgrade and if so should I swap or just stick with what I have? Also anyone know how a 2.2, 2.5 or 1.5 would compare to the KV-3 or the rest of the KV line?
  11. Hey guys, Which center would be the best match for my KG 4.5 and KG 3.5? I just picked up a pair of KG 1.5 for rear surrounds. From my searches here on the site it doesn't look like Klipsch ever made a "center" for the KG line. The best I can figure getting one KG 2.5 would be the best bet. Let me know what you think. Thanks
  12. RF7 Thanks for the input. I would like to entertain this idea depending on cost. My KLF-C7 may be up for sale in the near future. I would like to find a center to match my system better. I also just purchased a pair of KG 1.5 for rear surrounds but I don't think I need to worry about doing this for them. Does Dean use your existing crossover or use a completely different unit? You speak of having great amps etc. but as you can see I currently only have an AVR-3802 that is by no mean great. My question is with this equipment would I notice a vast improvement or would the change be barely noticeable? Thanks again
  13. WOW! That sounds great sign me up. Seriously if it would "open" my speakers up I would probably be interested. How much does something like this cost? Is it an aftermarket non-Klipsch piece of equipment or do you just take the stock crossover and change it? Thanks DeanG
  14. DeanG, What can you expect from a set of speakers say for instance my KG 4.5 or KG 3.5 after your crossover upgrade? Just curious. Thanks
  15. Thanks for your quick reply... I did a search for kg .5 and still see nothing here on this site. Will any KG speaker match any other in the KG line?
  16. Are these speakers KG 1.5? I searched here and did not see a KG 5 Klipsch produced. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5737490474&fromMakeTrack=true Will this pair match my KG system? Thanks
  17. Is there a place on this site or somewhere else that I can find the actual MSRP of Klipsch speakers current and classic? Thanks in advance

Down the long axis of the room, you will start to lose coherency at 50Hz, since the wave will no longer fit inside the room. For example, the lowest note on the piano is around 29Hz. To fit that wave inside a room, the axis of the room must be around 35 feet wide. If the room is half that size, the SPL of that note will be severely diminished by cancelation effects of the room resonance. I know it sucks - my room is even smaller. ---------------- Which completely explains excellent low-bass performance in cars and with headphones. ---------------- killerbee_vr6 Did you edit your post? I could have sworn your reply to meuge was the exact opposite and for that reason I thought I learned something about the difference between HT and car subs. EDIT: I see that you did not make any revisions to your post so I must have read it incorrectly. Still it seems what you and meuge are saying are two completely different things. meuge & killerbee_vr6 Way back I questioned why car subs have such huge magnets and needed so much power vs. HT subs. I was told that car systems and car subs are much more inefficient. I never really put much thought into this until last night reading meuge's post when I thought it all clicked. From meuge's post and killerbee_vr6's reply I thought I finally understood why this was. Car systems are in a much smaller space and it is much more difficult to produce low frequency's in a space that is not large enough for wave completion. I also thought you have to purchase a sub based upon room dimensions. From what I gather from this post and reply your HT will not live up to its potential unless placed in a room where it can in my words breathe. Could someone clarify these two things for me and don't hesitate to elaborate if you like.
  19. It surely seems like a simple resolution. It just amazes me that you have to go through everything that you are just to get the proper compensation owed to you.

  21. Just wondering if you got my PM or noticed it.
  22. Man as this progresses I feel as though I may never figure out what to do... Now I'm starting to wonder if I should add another ksw-15 to my system and I may just know someone who has one. (in the closet)
