  1. Hi everybody - I have a friend a few streets over in my neighborhood wanting to sell his Cornwalls (he is using Khorns now). So, to that end, I told him I would post some pictures here and see if anyone has an interest. Feel free to ask any questions. I'm pretty sure he has the original receipt, owner's information packet and warranty card. Take a look at the pictures. You will see they are not in the best shape. He felt selling them as-is would allow the buyer to refinish, reveneer or apply whatever finish to suit their taste. He would prefer local pickup or delivered within a reasonable distance of San Antonio, TX. asking $1400 Thanks for the input guys. New price $900.
  2. Great to meet you. You are a liked minded soul.
  3. I'm glad everyone like the sausages. It helped that I could cook them low and slow on Rodney's wood burning smoker. If you're ever in Austin, you have to make the trip over to Lockhart and try Smitty's brisket. It's even better than their sausage.
  4. Thanks Carl for the martini station. You made a lot of folks happy. It was great to finally put a face to the name.
  5. Good morning all - another rainy day in Texas. Looking forward to heading out tomorrow for Hope. It will be nice to put some faces to some names and just get away from life for a few days.
  6. I haven't posted a picture here in a while so here is one for you. This is Diva Audio gear; 2A3 amplifier and 12AX7 preamp with separate power supply. A friend was cleaning out for his move and came across these that he had forgotten about. He gave them to me for previous favors I have done for him. Gotta love karma.
  7. Hi all - been away for a bit. Sometimes life just gets in the way. I will be in Hope, so look forward to meeting some of you face to face. I may even throw on an apron and cook ya'll up a batch of something good. I need this get away to help offset some of my real life.
  8. That is an AM/FM radio. Moving the cueing lever turns it on, the tone arm is the volume control and rotating the platter changes the station.
  9. It isn't a poster but it is music related. Here is an old picture (system has changed in the background) of my Steely Dan AJA on cloth.
  10. That brisket look scrumptious. It is serious business in Texas.
  11. Her car is the only thing I know of. I will check the roof when I get home this afternoon. We had it easy compared to others who had windows in their car and house broken.
  12. Weather got serious last night. Literally got hammered. I've never seen it hail like that in San Antonio. My wife's SUV look like someone took a ball peen hammer to it.
  13. The site is pretty much fleshed out now. New info will be added as time goes on. http://www.texarkanarmhc.org
  14. Critical to a site like ours! Dave Embedding a music player is simple. There are many available for free on the web or you can add one with a simple line of code. The issue is finding one that does not link the music file direct. Otherwise it is very easy to download the file once you know the directory path. I may have to do this in PHP or flash so the program calls an ID name and not the file direct.
  15. We are also looking into an embedded music player. Just need to find one that isn't to big or busy and does not allow the files to be downloaded for copyright reasons.
  16. OK I will step in and say I built the new site. I spent about three days totally rebuilding the site in Dreamweaver to have a responsive site. All the pictures were optimized. The functionality checked across all platforms. I wanted a clean, organized site with continuity across all pages. The code is about a 1/4 of the original site in size and complexity. I am working with Dave to take over the site. He is not familiar with Dreamweaver or all the nuances of current web design, so give us a little time to get him up to speed and have a better understanding of how the changes he has been making to some of the pictures impact the user's experience.
  17. Huh? It is a reference to a line in the movie Airplane, that was a play on the voice procedure used in spoken communications over two-way radios. Things like stand by to copy, roger, over, etc...
  18. Programming has come a long way in the last 20 years. Your program may give you HTML, but as you have seen, it isn't what is was built to do; consequently, it gives you some of the most bloated code I have ever seen. Not to mention is isn't using current standards, so your site is not cross compatible with all browsers: Explorer, Edge, Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Safari, etc. There is also the screen issue; desk top, lap top, tablet and phone. So, depending on the browser and screen, the look and functionality change, or in some cases, may not function at all. I would strongly suggest finding someone to convert your code to something more up to date or that can build the site from scratch using responsive code. I understand your reasoning, but the site is just technically very out of date.
  19. Besides WIX.com, you should check out squarespace.com. You can pick a template and play around with it. This will give you an idea how everything works. I built a mock up site for a friend but never published it. Squarespace keeps emailing me about it being free now or if I want to make it a premium site, they would give me 70% off.
