  1. Damn me and my 2 vegas bachelor parties, 1 Santa Barbara wedding (not mine but 12 hour drive each way - long $$ weekend) and having to take the wife and kids to hawaii later this year...= no more buying for me for a while. I gotta stop looking at ebay or Im gonna go crazy with desire!!
  2. Oops, usually catch those. Butt U no how dat iz. Shet hapenz.
  3. Or, just do as I did. Build your entertainment center around your speakers I still need to have the top piece built but havent gotten around to it yet. I debated a equipment rack but couldnt decide on which I liked and how it would look so I designed my own and had a friend build it.
  4. "So what was the game?" FFXI. got sucked into DAOC about 3 years ago and finally burnt out of that (no sleep and not much "hubba hubba" "wink wink"). Thought I'd give FFXI a try but I didnt care for it. Guess Square wants peps not only to pay $13 a month, but not resell it if they dont like it. Oh well, must say the "hubba hubba, wink wink" has been better since the gaming stopped. Of course now I go out more and spend way more $$$ now but whatever makes her happy
  5. /rubs his hands Ok boys, guess its about time to get rid of those "old" RF-7s. And being that there are gonna be a ton of em, lets start at $350 each! Better hurry before they flood the market and become worthless
  6. I encountered that problem trying to sell a game. Ebay cancelled right after it ended so I didnt get to contact seller. I got the same type letter from ebay, but the next week, I saw the same game for sell on ebay. It went all the way through and I contacted the seller asking him questions but ebay didnt bring the hammer down on him for some reason. Have seen several more of the same game for sell too since. I wouldnt worry about it if it is software. Just tell em, if they ask (fat chance they will), that you sent it back to the seller. I think they just send those letters to make the people who complain happy. Was the item software??
  7. Aye mOOn, anymore tv and radio seem to be SHOCK entertainment. Which if only adults could access, would be reasonable, but when anyone can tune in a radio station and hear pretty much "anything goes", it's bad for societies children. I think we are just becoming a desensitized nation which if doesnt turn around will become one big crapbowl to live in. As a side, anyone on west coast have any small Klipsch speakers looking to get rid of (for second room)?
  8. Uh, mOOn, sorry, but I absolutely HAVE to listen to KUFO whenever I go to Portland. Usually get it between Eugene and Salem and dont turn it until I lose it on the way home. Awsome music on there (though the other stuff, while it can be very adult raunchy, is funny )
  9. I have a Mits 55511 which I bought March last year. Love the pic and cant wait until I get some damn HD programming in my backwoods Oregon town (need to get satellite someday). Only bad thing is, my last years tv doesnt have DVI (which Mits said a few years ago that they saw no future for and so pushed firewire - until after I bought my unit of course). Though Mits promises upgradeability, the upgrade to get me DVI is above $1k (last I heard that is)! I guess I have to hope firewire follows DVI into popularity. Love the TV otherwise
  10. Would the RS7's be too mismatched with the fortes? Am just trying to think of the future (RF7's as a wish).
  11. As much as I'd like to go the large speakers, I dont think my wife would buy surrounds that large. I think I need to stick to smaller speakers (plus anything large seems to attract pictures/ clocks/ knick-nacks that my wife seems to like to collect :/ )
  12. What do you think would be good surrounds to match my main speakers? Forte II's L/R Academy Center (managed to score off ebay last year) SW-12 I was going to upgrade to RF-7's, but since I just had cabinets made to enclose my Fortes (open to the rear) and hold my stereo equipment, I didnt want to go there yet. My reciever is getting upgraded tomorrow to the HK AVR630 (currently a cheap pioneer). My wife actually told me to buy the RF-7's and sell my current ones (for my birthday present), but the above reason keeps me from doing that at the present
  13. I originally ordered an Academy back after I got my Forte II's (92/93?) but dealer told me he couldnt get them anymore so ened up with a diff model. Finally last year I found on ebay an Academy with same finish as my Fortes, ended up costing me $400. But definitally sounds better than the mismatched Klipsch center I used before.
