OOPS I meant to say E-Bay not Audigon. FYI,there's a Fisher 400 X Bizzy Bee modified to use EL-34 output tubes on E-Bay now. Item # 5750609036. I have one and love it,actually I have 2 of them,one 400X in our computer /music room and one in our den. I bought both of them used off Audigon. New they sold fo $1199. I paid $700 for one and $850 for the other. I don't need a third. Great unit if someone wants to try a rebuilt Fisher 400 receiver. Also I have a name and phone number of a fellow who makes new Fisher cabinets. I have one built by him and he does a super job. I have a original cabinet and his new made cabinet is made much better,but the cost is $150. I got my cabinet off A-gon but I called the maker and he plans on making more in a few months. Hiya, I have a 1/8 plug into the earphone/headphone jack on our laptop computer and a RCA cord running to the AUX. on my Fisher 400 reaceiver. Using Time Warner broad band. Well when listening to my favorite radio stations web stream sounds like it's under water ,sounds fair but could sound better. Anything I can do? or do some web streams just sound like their under water? Cheers, Robert

Hiya Craig, It's actually a Fisher 400-X Paul Gryzbek modified receiver. The tuner section on the Fisher works great and has been aligned. But it has trouble pulling in strong my favorite narrow band distant Public Radio station in stereo and quiet free. I have a modified APS Sansui TU-9900 that I use just to listen to my favorite radio station,it pulls in the weak stations like a champ. " You are correct sir" hats off to Johnny Carson,soem dvd's don't have the volume output as some and I just found that out. You guys are so smart. Cheers, Robert

Hiya,for indoor a Godar antenna works good,I put a Godar in the attic and picked up my favorite public radio station that is 70 miles away. But yes the best is an outside Antenna Specialites APS9B or APS 13 mounted on the roof with a rotator. I went with a APS9B,Antenna Performance Specialites also sells an indoor antenna,but I haven't tried that one. I did like the Godar before going to a roof mount. I think there is a Godar on Audigon or Ebay. Or do a google search for Godar. Ihave the Fanfare FM-2 GC on my car,I tried using it in the attic too,but the Godar was way better. If the Godar doesn't work for indoor,it's easy to sell on Audigon. I sold my Godar in one day. You can also try mount a APS9B in the attic if you have room. I used to lay a Radioshack Yagi type antenna in the attic rafters,worked good,untill I bumped it and drove me absolute crazy re-directing it to pick up my favorite radio station. Then I went to the Godar for a short while. If you can roof top is the way to go. Local ham radio folks gave me installation advice and even volunteered to put it up for free. I wasn't even a member of their club and they said they live to put up antennas. But I decided to do it on my own,seems nobody installs FM antennas,if they do they charge big bucks. Best to have a buddy help with the final installation . I love my APS-9B ! Cheers, Robert

I just bought a newly made wood cabinet for my Fisher 400 tube receiver. It doesn't have any feet,the cabinet that is, I would like to find some brass pucks/dics or cheap brass cones to use as feet to raise the cabinet up about 1 1/2 to 2 inches so air can flow under chasis. Where can I find some of those brass thingys? The cones at Mapleshade records look nice but I think they are pricey. Cheers and thanks, Robert

Hello, I stopped in a local guitar store,wher they sell Marshall tube amps and repair them. They had the new Russian made Mullard EL-34's,so i bought a matched quad for $80 bucks,manufacture date printed on tubes is 04 09. The boxes are blue and have Master Valve printed on them,it's safe to use them in my Cayin TA-30 integreated amp isn't it?,to repelace my Cayin EL-34's,which I believe are Valve Art EL-34's. This is my first attempt at tube rolling. The guitar store owner also had old stock Siemens,NOS matched quad for $150. Cheers, Robert

Hiya,just got a very nice pair of 1992 Chorus II's yesterday. There is a light,not very deep gouge that is about 2 inches long on the top of one speaker in the walnut vaneer. Any suggestions on how to repair the gouge? Speakers are walnut oiled. Many thanks, Robert

Please forgive me for asking this,I have read several past posts and now my brain hurts!! Too much techno stiff for my pea-sized brain. DeanG. has my Forte' (1) crossovers for upgrading. Is it worth it to do my Chorus' (1's the orginal Chorus') too? or does it make much a sound difference. Also anybody need a Teac turntable for cost of shipping? Hi Jeff, I emailed you with many many pictures of my Forte's for sale they are original Forte' not Forte 2's. Mint,better than mint,if there is such a thing. i bought them last spring for $550 from a seller in Texas who stored them in his closet since 1989 in hopes of setting them up some day,but due to a divorce he just stored them and nver even used them I would like to sell them for $625 plus shipping costs. They have the original boxes and when i got them last spring one speaker had never even been taken out of the plastic bag. They are oiled walnut. i just bought a local pair of Chorus' and that's why I'm selling. I'll probably take them to E-pay,but I prefer not. Cheers, Robert

Well.. I bought those big baby's and love them for every square inch of their refridgerator size. They really fill up the room with music. They really sing with my Cayin TA-30 and I have a Bizzy Bee Tad 150 pre-amp on the way to make them 3-D Chorus' These aChorus are C9.7 oak one owner and I got them at a very fair price. But now i need to sell my Forte's that I bought last spring,Mint,like new oiled walnut with original boxes. I bought them from a seller in Texas that never even used them,they were stored in his closet since 1999. Ipaid $550 plus shipping and I'm pretty sure I'm going to put them on E-Bay. Hiya,well I have 2 pairs of Forte' 1 speakers and would like to upgrade the crossovers and whatever else is needed for the upgrade. But I'm a total pinheaded moron when it comes to anything electrical. I'm totally worthless in soldering,etc. I prefer to send the crossovers to someone who is good at that. I'll will pay of course. Any idea who i can send them to? Craig @ NOS maybe? I would like to start with one pair first. Both pairs are mint. Many thanks, Robert
