  1. Hey Guys, I just got my new RT-12D home from the store and one of the grill pegs was broke off right out of the box. I'm not sure if I really want to cause any trouble about it. It does stay on with three pegs. Are there any good fixes? Should the store take care of it or can I buy a replacement? Thanks.
  2. I recently sold my RF-7's to a Friend at work. He was also using the Denon 3806 receiver at the time. Later I coaxed him into buying a Emotiva MPS-1 to get a little more power. While I must say the difference I heard in the high end was nothing special you're speakers will most definitely come to life. The mid-bass and lower frequency's were highly accentuated in my opinion and gave the speaker a fuller, more complete sound. Something I did not think was possible. If you decide to get a new amplifier for these speakers you will not regret it or ever look back.
  3. Congrats on the new speakers. There is nothin like a new addition to your home theatre, especially if it's Klipsch.
  4. Personally I like this one and it can be had for around a grand if you find a deal. http://www.samsungusa.com/cgi-bin/nabc/product/b2c_product_detail.jsp?eUser=&prod_id=TXN3098WHFX%2fXAA
  5. I would have to say I'm of school #2. I've tried listenin to cables at both ends of the spectrum and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of difference to me. Monster is definitely overated. You just need some proper gauge well constructed cable IMHO.
  6. Thanks for the input. i am usually watching more movies than listening to music. HOwever I just bought a new DVD player which is SACD and DVD-A compatible. The balance may shift some on that. The timbre mismatch between the 7 series and my KG-4's is not too bad and it doesn't really bother me.
  7. I was wondering what your take is on this. I currently am using a pair of KG-4's for surrounds. I found a great deal on some RS-7's. they would match the rest of my 7 series speaker, but would it be worth it to switch? I don't have room to go 7.1 or I would just use both. I think I'm going to save some cash and keep my current KG-4's. However i was wondering if anybody else would have an opinion on this.
  8. Thanks for your insight. i think i'm sold on getting a 7200. Even at 830 it seems like a steal. i'll have to check out one of those Sanus racks you mentioned. For now it will just have to sit on top of my current cabinet.
  9. Thanks a lot for the reply. It's just been a while since I've heard a HK hooked up properly to good equipment. At least one not at Circuit City anyway. I think I might pick one of these beast up. The question is where to put a 60lb receiver?
  10. I recently had posted about my Integra 8.4 being for sale. I have a few intrested buyer, however I was able to come up with the money to fix my car's transmission. I now have the option of keeping the Integra receiver, but I see that onecall.com has HK 7200's for 788.00. My question is wether or not I should save some cash and sell the Integra in favor of the HK? I haven't found anyone local with a 7200 to demo. However I've hear the sound quality is excellent and that they are loaded with power. The Integra does sound really great, but I think I could live without the THX certification and DTS-ES 96/24. It also seems somewhat underpowered even though I can listen to movies very loud noise levels. Any opinions or info would be greatly appreciated.
  11. I have a almost Brand new Integra 8.4 for sale on Ebay. The receiver is in perfect shape and works great. I Just bought it about 3 weeks ago from an authorized dealer along with my RF-7's. I am only selling to help pay for unexpected car repairs and I can't bear the thought of selling my new RF's. If you are interested make me a reasonable offer. I can always pull the item off ebay. You can find the item here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3080957030&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:US:1 Thanks in advance.
  12. I'm currently using a pair of KG-4's for my surrounds. I'm looking for some new wire to hook them up. Before I knew better I bought some Monster Z wire for my center and mains. I'm just looking for about 100ft of some good wiring to hook up the KG's. I don't really want to pay a king's ransom for more monster wire. I'm sick of all their hype. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Pitch Black

Pitch Black is great. The movie is especially good for not having the biggest budget. It was one of the first DVD's I ever owned. The soundtrack is cool and will work your sub. I didn't even mind Vin diesel.
  14. These dented dust covers are on the passive radiators of the speakers. There are no rips or tears anywhere on either of the cones. The speakers were not damaged by me. I bought these speakers as is from someone locally.
  15. Those are my Fortes in the picture that I'm selling. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix it please let me know. The speakers still sound great, but for cosmetic reasons it would be nice to get them fixed. Thanks.
