  1. Klipsch said they still have some PM 4.1's. But they are refurbs, of course.
  2. Gee, um, Im looking for any thing under $200. Also, I probably need something to power them. I am sick of my Aiwa.
  3. Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any of their Klipsch speakers for sale. I am pretty despersate and want to get a good setup before the summer. Thanks!
  4. Nice, but it is still a rice burner...
  5. About a year ago, I was going to get the Yammi. So I would get it.
  6. I noticed this with other systems also. When only the green wire is plugged in, all the speakers work. But when you hook it into a 4.1 soundcard oror higher, you get stereo. So when or if you get a soundcard, it will solve the issue. For a temporary solution, you could unhook the rear speakers.
  7. Unfortunately I am using a Philips PSC-604, a crappy $20 soundcard I bought when I had my Creative 4400 4.1's. And then I got the Logitech Z-640, absolutly did not like them at all, and then got the Creative 6600 6.1's, I liked them all right. And then I got serious. I have wanted the PM 2.1 ever since I was in the fourth grade, which was six years ago. My school has had the PM 2.1 ever since fall of '98, and I fell in love with them. It doesnt sound right though, the PM 2.1 did not come out until 2000. But they have a cart with a 42" plasma TV, one of the older ones that the picture looks like crap. At the time it was well over $10k, so they thought since they had a top of the line TV, they wanted top of the line speakers to go with them. They ordered them directly from Klipsch, though. But anyways, I bought the PM 4.1's from eCost.com. Needless to say I an NOT doing business with them ever again! But the card I want is the Creative Audigy 2 ZS. I wanted some thing that was THX certified. But on to the topic, the way you have it should be fine. I havent gotten a chance to check to see if I get all 4 working yet because I have it set on my soundcar to where all 4 work all the time. I hope this helps!
  8. Yeah, tell me about it. I downloadesd that program you were talking about a few monthes ago about the tone generator, and there is so much freakin port noise under 30hz it isnt funny!

Ok, where is the cheapest place to get the Audigy 2 ZS?
  10. I have noticed this also. Of course it is an hour faster than my time also.
  11. Ok, let us know. My PM 4.1 sub didnt put out that much until I corner loaded it and raised the bass on my soundcard.
  12. Ok, so are your speakers working now in stereo? Let me know if you need anymore help!
  13. It very well could be. Have you tried them on different sources? Such as a different computer pr portable CD player?
  14. Ok, just making sure it wasnt just me!
  15. Ok, if you want true surround sound, you need a 4.1 or hogher soundcard. i will go into more detail when I get out of school! Talk to you later!
  16. "We are just out of stock for now" Is that the same with the SWS? "hint, hint"
  17. All you have to use is the green cable. You will have both subwoofer drivers working regardless because the are wired in series.
  18. Ok, do you have the green wire only hooked up or do you somehow have both the green and purple wire hooked up? If you only have the green wire hooked up, it will have all for satellites working. If you get a 3.5mm Y-cable and hook both the green and purple into it, you will have only stereo sound. What the 3.5mm y-cable is is two female 3.5mm into one male 3.5mm. I hope this helps!

    SACD

So when I get my DVD player for my computer, will I be able to listen to DVD audio along with DSOM dvd? I dont think any of this will be given any justice with out my new soundcard...
  20. Jackson, you are very right. I had a discussion about this the other day: Twice the power doesnt mean twice as loud. Now, the PM 4.1 may be able to play a few decibles higher ( I am not very familiar with the PM 2.1, I have only used them once because my school has them) but it may not be very noticible.

Have you heard the SACD version of Dark Side of the Moon? I heard that Eclipse really sucked because at the end you could really tell that the "heartbeat" was really a bass drum.
  22. Ok, I was wrong... Behind Blue Eyes is by Limp Bizkit. Sorry about that!

Is there a way you can get SACD on a computer? I really want to hear the SACD version of Dark Side of the Moon... Im not sure if you have to have a program or some kind of encoder or decoder or a compatible soundcard or what...
