You need more power. That is all. The miniscule powered SET amps don't drive Klipsch speakers well. I thought that was pretty much a given around here?

Well Ryan, that is simple. I am sending that 296 up to NOSValves to have it rebuilt because you never responed to my posts, PM's or email inquiring about a rebuild. NOSValves answered every question I had. If you happen to have another 296 for sale, I would consider purchasing it?
