  1. Just finished installing the crossover kit in my Heresy 1.5 speakers. I ordered from Bob Crites. The speakers sounded good before the install. I have noticed better highs and a more clear midrange. Does this sound like what I should be expecting after the installation?

  2. I have been away from the forum for a few years. I am however enjoying a pair of Heresy 1.5 speakers (build mid 1984). I really respect the opinion of the forum members so my question is this. Is it worth up

grading to Heresy III speakers. Is there really that much of an improvement?

My current setup sounds good to me the room just seems well with the current speakers.

  3. Just picked up a pair of CF-2's in pretty decent shape. I was amazed at the smoothness of these speakers. One thing odd was that the model number is no where to be found nor is the sereal number on the speaker. Imaging is excellent as are the dynamics.

  4. The speakers in question are pretty new (built last November). The speakers are about 25' apart and I sit about 12' from the front wall pretty much right between them. I do also find that the bass has to be turned down due to a peak in about the 100hz area.

My amp is a McIntosh MHT 200 with good quality Audioquest cables.I appreciate everyones input and ideas.

  5. Getting back to the original question. My speakers are about 25 feet apart and I am sitting about 12 feet from each of them. or about 10 or so feet from the front wall. I think the amp is ok its a Mac MT200. Other speakers do inage better in the same room but I do have the flexability to move them around. I do have the stereophile disc and havent thought of using it but I will to check phasing. The speakers were built in November of 2005 so are pretty new. I do have to reduce the bass control due to the speakers sounding boomy in the 100hz area.

  6. I love my Khorns. The real life you are there sound is unbeatable. The only thing that could be there imaging quality. Does anyone have simular problems? If so whats the answer short of tearing down walls and rebuilding my listening room.

  7. I am really glad to have read this post. I have had much trouble my K horns to image properly. I finally toed them out to face my listening position and noticed that it did image better and actually welcomed a little reduction in the bass department. I am using a sunfire sub crossed over at 60hz and so far the results have been pretty amazing.

  8. I live in central Georgia. Was wondering if there were enough of us to hold a gathering in the Atlanta area? By the way I did see and hear the Lascala IIs at Georgia Home Theater recently. Much improved look but sounded pretty much the same.
