  1. The sounds out of the horns has a loss of high frequencies with a coloured and uneven, forced quality. With well-recorded music the sound is shut in. the system as a hole is overly bright with severe colouration artefacts and a loss of homogeneity. Not good for music, not totally bad for movies.

  4. Well i've been tossing around the idea, but strangely this little experience kind of helped me make up my mind on the new purchase.
  5. I did change the post. But as I stated in my edit this has turned in to somewhat of a soap opera which was not my intention, kinda got off on the wrong foot. So I will be ending my membership. I'm purchasing some B&W's soon anyway. Can't say it was a nice stay.
  6. Your obviously not getting the point. I didnt realize people brought there personal problems to a a posting forum for electronics. Nothing wrong with that, its just different. Now please leave me alone.
  7. I agree with m00n. In about 10 to 15 years when the effects of out sourcing are apparent and it is to late to do anything about it I think you will share our concern. As consumers we have to voice our displeasure now and nip it in the bud. Mark my words with technology changes this in going to create HUGE problems in the future.
  8. No, just didnt realize everyone was so tight. Like I said , I'm new.
  9. I am a new member to this site and I have to say I'm overly impressed. What you guys just did was remarkable. I think I will be a proud member of this site for awhile to come.
  10. or look at it this way. when you go to see a band, the drummer doesnt move around the room while he plays. or the band isnt set in different spots around the room. they are all together, in front of you, on stage. convincingly recreate that and you really have something.
  11. I try to get the most realistic sound possible. Keeping it in two channel and using the least digital processing as possible seems to give the most pleasant and realistic reproduction for me(except when recorded in a surround format). Also my receiver has a pure direct mode which in two channel shuts down all the video and unused digital circuits for even better sound. But its all opinion.
  12. I have a pair of Klipsch KLF 20 's. I'm currently using just some Polk bookshelf for surrounds. Can anyone recommend a good match for the 20's out of the current line of Klipsch?
