Alright folks, I am officially ruling out the Cary CAD-300SE and Cary CAD-2A3-SE. I heard both sets of the amps today along with a Cary SLP-98P on Klipschorns, a Rega Planar P3, and Sony SCD-777ES at a friend of a friends home in Las Vegas. One of the worst sounding setups I have ever heard. I hope there are better sounding tube amps? Do I need to go back to solid state, or maybe head to digital to get quality sound with Klipsch speakers?

My interests lie in two channel audio only. I am not planning on going towards HT. I do not have a proportional budget for each specific item in my future system. It would be nice to get a digital tuner as well. All I want is the best system I can get in the $2500 range + or - 500. Thank you once again for everyones advice and help.

I have always liked the Lascalas but they are well out of my price range at $8000. I will look into Cornwalls. How much do they run? $4-5K?

My listening room is approximately 20' X 26'. I like to listen to particular genres of music at extremely high volume, and then others at a mere whisper.

I have been reading about a BEZ and Cayin in the other posts. Are either of them adequate for me? I like to listen to pop, r&b, jazz, and rap.

Hi all, First time poster here. I just heard a tube amp for the first time the other day with a pair of Heresy. I was in absolute awe. My friends uncle had a Fisher 500 I believe?? Can I get anything worthwile for $2500 give or take 500? Charlie
