I have a problem though... my preamp does not have a subwoofer preout. The newer version does not have Binding posts. I am asking Chuckears something though. He said you can use the Tape out on my preamp to connect to the subwoofer somehow.
*Edit*
Can the 2 channel preamp's out for the front speakers be plugged into the low level input on the subwoofer, then the High pass output to the Ampflifiers?
C... The low frequencies trigger the sound meter more.. The high frequencies are more piercing to the ear but does not trigger the sound meter as much.
I talked to an audiophile and he said that more watts can help not clipping and you can never overload the speakers... Lets say we have speakers rated 100 watts max... If I put 200 watts to them and keep the volume right so it doesnt kill it, will it burn or blow up?
To theear and other people.. I read about how alot of people like the paradigm for its musical capabilities... When talking about it, are you refering to the V1 or the V2 model? I would want a V2, but the V1 is much cheaper used.
I got an SPL meter from radioshack... I found out that I can enjoy music under 85 DB... However, at 85 DB on klipsch speakers, the tweeter sounds harsh kind of. If my meter reads under 85 db... does that mean its safe?
I dont think I have ear infection beacuse the doctor and audiologist would have seen it when looking at my eardrum.
Something new happened to my ears last week. I think I perforated my eardrum. When I hear anything a little loud, my ear hurts.
LOL... I love my KLF-30's but its lacking bass from my amplifier.... I need to turn up the volume to get good bass which I dont want to do anymore (hint: this thread) I am thinking of getting a Paradigm PW-2200 subwoofer
I just remembered... when I was young, I held a firecracker... One 5 times larger than blackcat RIGHT next to my face. It blew up. This is probably why I have hearing loss today.
I got it checked at audiologist. That is how I know I have hearing loss. I didnt even notice my earing loss until I found out I couldnt hear the tweeter from my speakers with my left ear. I went to the doctor but he couldn't do anything.. just told me to stop listening to loud music.
Are movie theaters loud enough to damage hearing?
I have hearing loss in my left ear even though I am only 16 years old. I can't hear anything over 3400 Hz on my left ear. I think I got it from my school's pep rally. It was extremely loud.
Does high freqency or low frequency damage your hearing more? Or is it the same?
