  1. Hi, I've owned a number of Mac integrateds including the 6400. A nice amp that is a good match for Klipsch speakers.I do believe the price is high, an MA 6500 can be bought on the net for the same price, so proceed carefully. Still a great amp. Beernut

  3. Have to part with a solid pair of Chorus II's vintage 1990. Cabinets are solid with a couple of nicks, grills are fine and speaker elements perfect. Need to make some room so these must go. I'd prefer a local sale in central NY. Willing to meet a buyer within a reasonable drive from Utica, NY, Syracuse ,NY. Asking price is $650.00 for the pair. Additional pics available but ask soon as I'm getting ready to put these in storage soon. email at dpetit2001@yahoo.com
  4. Yes I still have the LaScala's. Are you selling the Forte's? R, Dan
  5. Sorry, I didn't post a price. I'd like $1,000 or a reasonable offer. Not sure what the market is on these.
  6. Thanks for the help. Guess my brain and fingers weren't wired when I posted the pics. BLUESMAN

  9. Hey, just received these babies and try as I may I cannot get them situated properly in my studio apt. Love the sound but I know I'm not getting the most from these. I believe they are 1985 vintage. They are in decent shape-a few nicks here and there but overall good. Pics available if interested. Would prefer pickup in central NY area, Utica, Rome etc.Fair offers accepted. Looking for Forte II or preferably Chorus II-easier to manage in my digs.
  10. Actually, not as far upstate as Plattsburgh. Town is Boonville-25 miles direct north of Utica. Thanks, Dan
  11. Hi Guys. I'm looking for nice Forte II's or the same in Chorus's. I just received LaScala's 1985 vintage and just can't posistion them properly in my studio apt. They are available if someone wants to pick them up in upstate, NY
  12. Thanks, great info guys. If this isn't the most fun you can have going broke, I don't know what is.
  13. Thanks, current digs do not allow corner placement. Hence I get the feeling I may not be getting all these speakers can offer. The sound is good currently, but more room would help.Bought the 'scalas because the price was right.
  14. Earwire-Yikes! I'm still evaluating the LS's even though they are a bit too big for my digs. I'd like to capture the sound in a smaller more manageable package.
  15. Hi Guys, currently have LaScalas which sound great but are a bit big for my studio apartment. It was suggested that Chorus II may be a better fit. Any comments, suggestions?
  16. Hi Guys. What are the differences between these 2 speaker systems? How do they compare sonically? Just curious.
  17. Thanks for that info. I will definately follow that advise.
  18. I like them just fine right now. However, since they are older and I have no experience with this model, I was looking for some guidance to get all the performance possible. Has anyone spiked them? Angled them? Toe in advise and the like. I've read about newer crossovers too. Thanks
  19. Thanks, where can the upgrades be found? Are they user friendly? These are a wee bit large to take to the shop. R, Dan

  21. Fun? Music was a joke. Synth drums and all that BS. Want feeling? Listen to some good blues. Real musicians, real music. No blowdriers or spandex
  22. Here's my recent experience. Paid $200.00 to have LaScalas shipped from CA to NY. No biggie. Took a day off from work and drove over 1 hr to get them.Speakers didn't show up, totally indifferent service. Went back 2 days later and got them-thanks to a warehouse guy doing OT. Don't know if the rate was good but service at my end was UNSAT!!!
  23. Fellow Klipsch Hounds. just received my vintage 1985 La Scalas. Very interesting comparison to my Soliloquy's. A few ??. What are good cable matches? What about placement-toe in-distance from rear wall etc. What updates, tweaks etc would you recommend for this model/vintage? Thanks
