about the only thing you could do is to set the number of days displayed in each forum to 5 or whatever.
-
you said its the one with a blown woofer, that is probably whats making the smell. you might want to go ahead and take it out and let the cabinet breath out in the garage to get the smell out.

the yellow mark is the + input, you won't hurt it just to fire it up without a crossover. just don't get crazy with the volume, keep it low.
-
k-28-k is a pro woofer

$18 urc-8810 @ walmart. can be programmed to control anything u desire. i love mine

yes you could do that, but if you have a stereo signal just plug into the front L/R(green) input. the sub also uses that input.

essentialy yes thats how you would do it. problem is the sub input only jack is the middle ring, which would be the "right" ch. input. so you could use an rca male to dual rca female, then use a dual rca male to 3.5mm cable(also known as a portable cd player cable). then hook that into the green input.

your home theater receiver will work just fine. you will need analog outputs from your receiver to make this work. assuming you do, you would hook it up just like a sound card or DD5.1. the rca jack on the ultra sub is an OUTPUT not an input. the "sub" input on the ultra is the orange cable middle stripe when looking at the 3.5mm plug.

for $650 i would look at Denon 2105

trey you still didn't answer the question on how cinema speakers are tested other than in the chamber.

it means 2.2 thousand ohms

that would not be a problem, just keep the esr value as close as possible.

just to answer the question for future searches. that broken blue cap in question is a mylar.

i second the usage of FLAC, also .SHN is another great lossless format. i have a couple extra 200GB drives i store my music on. i also beleive EAC is the only program that rips cd's correctly.

if you call klipsch customer service they will be happy to assist you. if you attempt to repair it yourself, the warranty is void.
-
have you tried using a different source? check your system 2.1 channels at a time. use a cd player and plug in the front (green) cable, then check the rear(purple) cable. if you still experience the same issues then send it in for warranty. the promedia 4.1 is not a consumer serviceable item. if its still under warranty, the best advise is to send it in for repair if you have checked everything possible short of cracking it open.

just use a metallized polypropylene cap and you'll be fine.

are you talking about a "pair" or a single rs-7. a single rs-7 only has one 8" woofer. your question is confusing.
