The VCR will just pass the signal on down the line. I run cable direct to TV and to VCR. Then I run audio outs to the receiver. I can't tell a difference if I pick up the cable signal from the TV or the VCR first, they both sound good and they both sound the same. I suspect something else is going on.

Routing through your VCR shouldn't affect your sound much, if at all. Are you sure that's where your problem is?

Currently using shielded KSF-10.5. They're very close to my rear projection TV. Thinking of switching to KSF-20s. Anybody got any experience with these speakers in close proximity to a RPTV?

They'd be going to Clearwater FL, 33763. Looking to spend as little as I can. I just missed a pair locally on ebay by $10. They went for $686 for the pair. I don't really want to go too much over that.

I've had two big screen Mitsubishis, and the've both been pretty unreliable. I would never buy another.

Anyone know where I can get a pair these days? Thanks
